Grand Valley started as a quaint farmers village within the township of East Luther, and in 1995 amalgamated to become the Township of East Luther Grand Valley. In 2012, the name changed to what we know now as the Town of Grand Valley.
This township has been growing exponentially over the years, with several new builders and subdivisions emerging due to high demands of commuters preferring its housing prices in comparison to the city. Grand Valley is located close to Alliston, Barrie, Brampton, Guelph, Kitchener, Orangeville, Waterloo and the Greater Toronto area via quick access to major highways. However, Grand Valley is still considered a rural farming area and includes part of the Luther Marsh and Grand River.
Note: Grand Valley is under the Grand River Conservation Authority
